Hello hello hello!!!
It's day 4 and I'm still not convinced this is real life! Just kidding. This is about as real as it gets.
Wow I have so many mixed thoughts and feelings about being a missionary but overall I feel very confident that I'm right where I'm supposed to be! It's an amazing thing devoting yourself to one purpose and experiencing all that that entails. Stress, fatigue, no intiendo el espanol, power, peace, motivation, confidence, annoyed by sisters flirting with elders and elders still acting like obnoxious high schoolers nervousness, confusion, excitement are just the few things I've felt here at the MTC but family I LOVE IT. it's all just part of the process before heading to McAllen Texas and doing the real meaningful stuff :)
Mi componerã es Hermana Woodworth. She's awesome and so smart! We had to teach our first "investigator" en espanol ( so hard btw ) and she totally answered his questions slowly but wayyyy better than what I could have come up with. It was way cool to watch her do that. She's a powerful little thing when she teaches. Very passionate. I'm lucky to have her and learn from her. She's from New York.
The MTC food es no bueno. I manage just fine finding things to eat but still. Yikes. I've already taught a little about stress management and meditation with my zone. Like very very little. But it was successful and refreshing to teach that. People get wayyy too stressed here at first especially the newbies so a lot of class time and lessons are geared around stress management. Es ta moy bien.
There is so much to do!!!! God answers prayers!!!! I still don't really feel like I know what I'm doing but I'm just trying to trust myself and the process, like "hey God, I'm here, now do what you want with me, and please help me be okay with it." Anyway I'm happy and healthy and pumped about where I'm headed. My P days are on Saturdays
btw, and I have an iPad so I can check email whenever I want really :)
Thanks Taylor for the dear elder, you're a real homie. Peace and blessings to you all! I love you all with my whole heart!
Over and out
Mucho amor,
Hermana Paskett :)
